How to play
Your team defends the Moon Beacon at the bottom; theirs is at the top. Penguins attack whatever is in reach by themselves (ranged ones stop to throw), so you choose where to stand and when to fire your penguin's power. Standing in your nest, behind your beacon, heals you. Fish near the centre heal and shorten your power's wait. At 2:00 the moon rises and beacons take double damage. Destroy the enemy beacon, or have the healthier one when the 3 minutes run out.
How do traits matter?
A penguin's outfit is its role (tank, scout, mage, support…) and its hat is its power. Its eyewear, eyes and beak add a small passive, and teammates who share a sky get a team bonus. Traits make penguins play differently, never stronger: bots played tens of thousands of matches to tune every trait to win about half the time.
Is it free?
Yes, completely: no fees and no prizes. This is practice against bots; matches against other players come next.
Do I need to own a penguin?
No. Everyone gets today's flock of three, and practice lets you pick any of the 10,000. Owners will be able to play their own penguins online.
