What does owning gear do?
Any penguin in the wallet that holds an item can wear it. Save a look and your penguin shows it on this page; Fly to the Moon and Penguin Clash will show it soon. Gear is cosmetic: it never makes a penguin stronger in a game, and it never changes the penguin NFT's own picture.
Is it random?
No. You pick exactly the item and colour you want and pay the listed price. There are no packs and no loot boxes.
What happens if I sell the item or the penguin?
A penguin only shows an item while its owner holds it: sell the item and that part goes back to how it was drawn. Sell the penguin and its new owner sees it as drawn until they dress it.
Where does the money go?
The same place as adoptions: an on-chain split that sends 10% to the penguin fund for conservation. Resales carry a 5% creator fee to the same split.
